Lakefield Summerfest Announces America 250 Scavenger Hunt
LAKEFIELD — As part of America's 250th celebration, Lakefield Summerfest will host a four-day scavenger hunt, Monday through Thursday, inviting residents of all ages to search for a hidden Lady Liberty.
A new clue will be released daily at 8 a.m. at the front door of Lakefield City Hall, as well as on the City Hall and Summerfest Facebook pages. The hunt will continue each day until the item is found or until 2 p.m., when a bonus hint will be provided.
Participants are searching for a 4-inch-tall Statue of Liberty figurine in a brown box, which the winner will keep as a memento. Once found, the item must be brought to City Hall to confirm the find and take a photo. Updates will be posted at City Hall and on Facebook after each discovery.
Lady Liberty will be hidden only on city-owned property. The event is open to youth and the young at heart, with one win per family throughout the hunt.
Participants should prioritize safety, be aware of traffic, and respect public spaces. Golf carts and other motorized vehicles are not allowed in city park green spaces, which are designated for pedestrian-only safe play.
For daily clues and updates, visit the Lakefield City Hall front door or follow the Summerfest Facebook page and/or the Lakefield City Hall Facebook page.
